What's In My Suitcase: St. Barts Edition

A Storied Closet

by Katie Kime

I’m infamously known for overpacking. For the (most fabulous) 40th celebration, also in St. Barts last year, I was the only person out of roughly 40 that didn’t carry on. This meant for all the small, tedious transits required to get there, I was always in a different line or process. Everyone just waited, staring at me, shaking their heads. I’m used to it.

It was a joke then, it will be a joke this week. Mostly because - this dress as a case in point - I never wear 75% of what I pack. But I have grand fantasies of wearing them all.

Maybe this trip will be the one that turns it around. The plan, at least here, is a fancy but beachy vibe via Johanna Ortiz. (Bag via Gucci Garden)

The accessories plan: More is more here, of course, and there are certainly only a few places I feel I can pull off this type of head piece situation. (Shoes, Gabriela Hearst (x Roger Clergerie); Earrings, Rebecca De Ravenel; Necklace, Lizzie Fortunato; Bag, Hermes.)

My daughter is in a Cocomelon phase and all I can think when I see this is, “hey hey, it’s KK.” If you know, you know. (Monogram Charlotte in yellow, Monogram Brooklyn in Green, Retro Stripe Pajama Set, Animal Kingdom Pajama Set)

I’ve always been an Alexis fan because of their amazing textures. Packing this dress for a date night.

I love a scarf that I can wear on a plane, but then as a pareo.  (Scarf, Hermes; Hat, Monogram Mary. Suits left to right: Tory Burch, Solid and Striped)
