I recently read about a pizza + beer spot in Bastrop that looked perfect for a sunny day. I held it in my back pocket waiting for the right weather, and a few Sundays back happened to be just that. From Austin to Bastrop you’re looking at 45 minutes in the car until you’re surrounded by hiking trails. Though we were heartbroken by the state park’s naked trees due to the fire back in 2011, we were happy to see that life was slowly coming back.
Neighbors was a perfect little place to grab food, drinks, and sunshine after our hike/trail run in the park. I’m easy to please when it comes to pizza, but I think it’s safe to say that this spot is worth the little drive if you’re in the Austin area. Bon appetit!
