Celebrating Fatherhood with Greg Gish

Celebrating Fatherhood with Greg Gish

This month, we celebrate Dads. They are strong, fearless, and often times, let’s face it, the “fun one.” In honor of Father’s Day, we had the Dads we admire try on our custom made Katie Kime ties* and talk about what they love most about fatherhood. Our Dads share what their dream Father’s Day plans entail, and of course, their Dad style.

Greg Gish

Entrepreneur and native Texan Greg Gish marries classic Southern style with a New York sophistication for a polished approach to fashion that we love. The loving dad to three daughters and husband to the uber-stylish Kristin Gish, wore the Katie Kime Watermarks Bow Tie, well on the front porch of his beautiful central Austin home.

What are some of your favorite things to do with your children?

Swimming, going to the park, traveling, introducing them to new cuisines.

You are the dad of three girls! What’s been the most surprising thing about being a ‘girl dad?

The most surprising is that they can be just as rambunctious and fight as much if not more than boys! But, the best is their sincerity and sweetness and getting tight hugs from them. There truly is a special daddy/daughter bond.

What has been the most rewarding part of fatherhood?

Seeing the excitement and joy on my daughters’ faces and hearing three girls shriek “Daddy!” at once when I walk in the door at the end of every day. That never gets old.

What dad’s style do you most admire?

Can I say my grandfather? He wasn’t famous, but he raised two amazing, successful daughters on his own. And, he could rock a cowboy hat, boots and a bolo!

Do you have a favorite quote about fatherhood?

“Anyone who tells you that fatherhood is the greatest thing that can happen to you, they are understating it.” Mike Myers

What are you hoping your Father’s Day plans entail?

I’m easy to please, so a casual day playing in the backyard followed by a family BBQ would be ideal!
