Our company Christmas party was one for the books. I am smiling just thinking about all the laughter and fun we had together. Katie hosted the party at her amazing house this year and pulled out all the stops for us. Everything from craft cocktails, to a great chef that made such a tasty meal, and a winter wonderland cake. The party didn’t end there, we then decided to play girls vs. boys HeadsUp and I bet you can imagine how that turned out. You’ll see in the gallery below.
My absolute favorite room in her whole house – well one of them
All of Katie’s Christmas decorations were spectacular and made it feel so holiday.
We had a bar set up in her kitchen – with two signature cocktails
The first drink was a Pink French 75
The Pink French 75 was Natalie and I’s personal favorite drink of the night and the color made it perfect for the Christmas party
It would not be a Katie Kime party without an Old Fashioned
The finished product – Call me Old Fashioned?
This year I took a new spin on the classic champagne bag and wrapped Katie’s and Natalie’s gifts with Santa hats and some striped ribbon to spice it up
The dining room table was all Katie – gold with a little pattern and a touch of sparkle
The main course – grass-fed tenderloin with mashed sweet potatoes. These happen to be two of my most favorite dinner items so I was thrilled. And yes, it did taste as good as it looked.
The cake! It was fruit-filled and oh so good. The trees were a KK addition of course
After our meal was complete, we moved to the family room where an intense game of HeadsUp took place. We played girls vs. boys and laughed the whole time
The girls decided to set some rules after the boys kept picking the animal and just for the kids category… and the score was highly debated after each round – since sometimes we all forgot that to pass you had to turn up not down. But we had our tally marks and scorecard corrected by the end.
I couldn’t resist. Duke is the world’s most photogenic dog and one of the sweetest. He wanted to join in on the HeadsUp game but then decided to watch from afar
Our HeadsUp game ended when the phone died and we are still unsure of who won – but for the record, I’m going to say the girls. When the party wound down I realized I am beyond thankful for these 4 women pictured with me below. Not only do we laugh together, sometimes get stressed together, but we are building something amazing together. To have their support and constant guidance is something special. So to everyone out there celebrating the holidays, I ask you to remember one thing – the experiences you have with others, whether your family or your friends, is the most special gift you can have. Because at the end of the day, material things are great but the laughter and love you feel with others is something you cannot buy.
Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays from the KK Family to yours!
